My mother was a great artist, and when I was young I was sent to drawing school, where my instructor spent her time largely demonstrating how to sleep, and where I taught myself how to draw. In high school, assignments gave me the opportunity to reach the prime (so far) of my artistic abilities. After I moved out to BC for university, the hustle and bustle of life took over. Today, on Drawing Day, also known as Pencil Day, I'm going on a search for that person.

I haven't picked up a pencil or brush in so many years, but I'm determined to draw that person out of me again.
